The world is divided on what happens after death. Some have a religious take, while others believe nothing at all happens. However, a TikToker recently went viral after explaining her thoughts regarding the afterlife, and the video resonated with numerous people.
A Thought-Provoking Video
TikToker @jolie.artist posted a video on her TikTok channel addressing her theory regarding the afterlife. She believes that in the afterlife, your consciousness is transferred to another universe and you keep living another life. “Whenever you die in one universe, your consciousness just gets transferred into another universe where you survive,” she said.

A Physicist Agrees
While many theories have been proposed regarding what happens in the afterlife, @joli.artist mentions the idea of quantum immortality, an idea postulated by American physicist Hugh Everett. His theory suggests we move onto numerous “other worlds and realities” when we die.
In-Depth Explanation of Afterlife Theory
Joli also notes how a type of Mandela Effect takes place, explaining that although we don’t remember the previous world we “might have some basic recollections.”
“You don’t believe me? Okay, it’s been about 65 million years since the asteroids allegedly took out the dinosaurs. So you mean to tell me that in the last 65 million years, no other asteroids have come through the neighborhood and taken us out?” She added. “What I’m saying is that Earth is probably always being taken out, and our consciousness just keeps getting transferred to another parallel universe – and then another one, and another one.”
Responding to Afterlife Thoughts
“Yesss! I’ve been thinking about something like this.” Replied one user. Another explained: “AND I know I’ve lived & DIED before. I’m just struggling to remember the details. FOR. REAL.”
Meanwhile, others were unsettled by the afterlife revelation.
“BYE NOT TODAY,” wrote one person.
“Ok, I’m actually kind of freaking out right now coz I’m not the conspiracy typa guy, but you’re like eerily making sense,” shared another.
First-hand experience with the Afterlife
Although knowing what happens in the afterlife is impossible, several interesting, outlandish, or fun-to-think-about theories have been shared. Some pertain to the physical and scientific aspects while other theories are based on spiritualism or religion. However, a handful of people in the world have died and then come back to life moments later, often reporting an out-of-body type of experience.

Anita Moorjani
One example is Anita Moorjani who wrote several books about her afterlife experience. She had been battling lymphatic cancer for 4-years when she went into a coma. Medical professionals believed that would be the end. However, she was still conscious. She disclosed she had “360-degree peripheral vision” while floating above her body and could feel her later father’s presence, although she couldn’t see him. “He said that I’ve gone as far as I can, and if I go any further, I won’t be able to turn back,” she said. “But I felt I didn’t want to turn back because it was so beautiful. It was just incredible because, for the first time, all the pain had gone. All the discomfort had gone. All the fear was gone. I just felt so incredible. And I felt as though I was enveloped in this feeling of just love. Unconditional love.”
A Little Girl’s Take
Annabel Beam was diagnosed with multiple life-threatening digestive disorders and at age 8 experienced a perplexing event that changed the course of her life. She was sitting on the branch of a tall tree when it broke. She plummeted to the ground and was trapped for hours. When she came to, she claimed to have “died and gone to Heaven.”
She recalled: “It was really bright, and I sat on Jesus’s lap and he told me, ‘Whenever the firefighters get you out, there will be nothing wrong with you,’” Beam told TODAY. “And I asked him if I could stay and he said, ‘No, I have plans you need to fulfill on Earth that you cannot fulfill in heaven.’”
While we can’t know what happens in the afterlife, it’s a difficult topic for some. However, others revel in the thrill of the unknown. Either way, death is inevitable and there are several ways to cope, including proposing various possibilities for what happens when we die.
